New Whitacre piece
Eric Whitacre has scored a Kipling text, "The White Seal's Lullaby," for piano and SATB (we'll probably see it scored for other vocal ensembles if it isn't already available). Mr. Whitacre titled his piece "The Seal's Lullaby," rather than keeping Kipling's original title...perhaps a copyright issue? Well, I finally took the time to listen to it...and it's gorgeous!! I would suggest to Dr. Simmons at UTM that he have New Pacer Singers add this piece to their repertoire.
